ODS food drive fills shelves for in-need Oregonians

ODS employees donated more than 1,500 pounds of food during a company-wide food drive that ended in March. The food will be donated to local food banks including the Oregon Food Bank in Portland, NeighborImpact in Bend and the Union County Food Bank in La Grande.

“We called the food drive ‘Fill our shelves, so we can fill their shelves,’ and wow —our employees responded beyond any expectations,” said Katie Paullin, ODS Community Relations Specialist. “The donations were amazing! We filled shelves, we filled cubicles, and the donations just kept coming. We even had departments challenge each other to see who could bring in the most food.”

The friendly competition for a good cause resulted in the highest-ever number of ODS food donations.

“This food drive was really a testament to the generosity of ODS employees,” said Jonathan Nicholas, ODS Vice President of Branding and Corporate Communications. “I am honored to work with people who are passionate about caring for their communities and neighbors. Our employees saw the need and took action to provide support.”
