ODS Adds Innovative Management Tools to Health Plans

NexGen Solutions Offers New Ways to Manage Care, Reduce Costs

Portland, Ore.- The ODS Companies (ODS) recently unveiled NexGen Solutions, an innovative package of services designed to expand the benefits of traditional health insurance plans. NexGen Solutions is included in all of ODS’ fully-insured medical plans, and is available to self-insured accounts on a fee basis. Some of the new features that make up NexGen Solutions include:

eDocAmerica
eDocAmericaallows ODS members to contact board-certified, licensed physicians by e-mail to discuss health-related issues. While this service is not intended to replace traditional doctor-patient interaction, it provides an additional resource for members to access healthcare information. eDocAmerica enables members to provide better self-care, lead a healthier life and to visit their physician only when necessary.

Registered Nurse Advice Line
Registered Nurse Advice Line allows members to talk to a registered nurse
24 hours a day, 7 days a week
who will help them make informed decisions about their health issues, discuss potential risk factors and identify treatment options.

Employee Assistance Program
In partnership with Cascade Centers, Inc., ODS offers an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) to members. EAP provides a number of important services including behavioral health counseling, stress management, crisis phone line, health awareness seminars and much more.

PersonalHealth Rx
PersonalHealth Rx is an easy to use web-based tool that allows members to access detailed claims and benefit information. With this innovative product, members can view and print personal prescription history, track co-payments and out-of-pocket expenses, and create a list of current prescriptions for physician visits.

Employer Online Services
Projected to launch this fall, Employer Online Services will cut down on paperwork and make it easier than ever for employers to administer their employees’ insurance plans. With access to ODS’ eligibility systems through the ODS website, employers can enroll members, update eligibility information, change physician information, order ID cards and much more.
