ODS Opens First Out-of-State Office

ODS recently opened a new office in Anchorage, Alaska with Tyler Phillippay overseeing local operations as Marketing Manager for the entire state. ODS has partnered with Delta Dental Insurance Company (DDIC) to provide dental insurance in Alaska.

As in Oregon, the Delta Dental Networks in Alaska are unmatched and the services provided to ODS/DDIC members continue to set the standard for the dental insurance industry. In the coming months, additions will be made to the products and services available to groups in Alaska. While in Portland, Phillippay worked as a marketing representative for ODS and enjoyed the opportunity to work with agents throughout the state. Recently asked about the relocation he said, “It was very exciting once we made the decision to move. Overall, time was short and I didn’t have the opportunity to keep all of my agents and friends in the insurance world updated on the specifics. Now that we are settled, I am glad to report that both business and life in Alaska are great.” He also added that he would enjoy hearing from any Oregon agents via email at .

Despite the challenge of the Alaskan winter, sales in the market for 1-1-2005 have been heating up. Phillippay also reports, “A full day of calling on my agents is definitely made more interesting by the large quantities of snowfall. Snow boots and a suit is a normal look up here.”
